  • HSA proposed $2.1M in cuts to subspecialty workforce programs, including an LGBTQ+ employment program and an employment program for people experiencing homelessness. The Working Families Credit was also eliminated.
  • The committee heard and filed a hearing on family affordability. MOHCD is absorbing an $8.5M ongoing general fund reduction, eliminating its community-based services portfolio (69 grants), digital equity, and capital programs.
  • OEWD Director Anne Taupier publicly said OEWD's workforce team will not merge with HSA, addressing a rumor raised earlier in the hearing.
